ABOUT THE FORUM

Forum program

The Public Sector Audit Forum will be held in central Melbourne, a short walk from the offices of the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office.

The Venue

The Forum venue is the Naval and Military Club.  The historic venue is centrally located in Little Collins Street (between Spring and Exhibition Streets) and will offer a range of meeting and informal spaces for our use.

Reception and Registration at Parliament House

All delegates are invited to attend a welcome reception at Queens Hall in Parliament House at 5pm on Monday 7 April. This event will provide a social opportunity to meet other Forum delegates and an opportunity to complete registration and pick up your forum packs. Bob Stensholt MP, Chair of the Victorian Public Accounts and Estimates Committee, will be welcoming delegates. Our guest speaker Professor Kerry Jacobs will provide some thoughts to start the Forum, speaking on "Partnerships in Accountability - The Relationship between the Auditors-General and Public Accounts Committees".

Informal meetings

The Forum provides a great opportunity to meet colleagues and counterparts from other jurisdictions. Before and after the Forum events, VAGO has made available a range of meeting rooms for use by delegates who wish to have informal meetings with other attendees. If you would like to book a meeting room for Monday 7 April or the afternoon of Thursday 10 April, please contact Merilyn Heritage.

In addition, VAGO is offering some briefing sessions to delegates on the Victorian approach to some key operational areas. Sessions on VAGO's performance audit approach and program and on VAGO's performance and financial audit methodology are being run across Monday 7 April.
